Artist Statement

Sky Dancer, detail, oil 20″x28″

An expression of visions I see in the mind’s eye, my work illustrates an “inner realism” that has as much substance as the outer world of phenomena. The primary intent behind the paintings is to offer a window into levels of energy/awareness — or at face value, simply to add vivid images to an environment.  As colors and shapes effect mood in powerful ways, I seek to evoke an uplifting feeling through the raw materials of canvas and paint.
