Ancient languages contain letters whose forms symbolize aspects of consciousness, i.e. Celtic Ruins, Chinese characters, Hebrew “Fire” letters, Sanskrit and Arabic. The below series is Sanskrit letters contained in mantras. Unlike the “Fire Letter Series,” or this Arabic canvas, where the letters demand to be prominently displayed in gold leaf, the Sanskrit letters prefer to be camouflaged in swirling abstract designs.<\/p>\n

The “Pure Land” is a phrase signifying the place of liberation in Tibetan Buddhism, where one goes after leaving the mortal coil. Thus, the title “Pureland Camoflague.”<\/p>\n
